Snow in Spring at the Ocean

Spring has officially arrived, but it is still very cold and the snow hasn’t gone yet. Today I am sharing some pictures from a nice cold afternoon trip to the snowy shores of Karrebæksminde in South Denmark. Where I grew up, we never saw snow, so the snow this year in Denmark is the first time I saw so much snow.

The location is Enø; a small Danish island off the west coast of Zealand between Karrebæk Fjord and Karrebæksminde Bugt. It is connected to Karrebæksminde, Zealand, by a road bridge, which opens up for passing boats every hour. I can recommend going there, if you are nearby. Even in the winter it is very beautiful although there are not a lot of people there. In the summer, it is packed with tourists and people swimming in the lovely clean ocean water.

Last year was also my first time swimming in the ocean, so you can say that the last year has had a few “first time”‘s for me.
