The 300th anniversary of the city of New Orleans is approaching and Humidity NOLA and Nike SB partnered to launch the Nike SB Dunk High to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the city.
New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz and a great cultural home, so this shoe is inspired by jazz, based on the Nike SB Dunk High with a brass-coloured leather upper, lined with purple velvet and a red bow-tie as a tribute to Louis Armstrong – the “father of jazz”, who brought jazz from the New Orleans region to the world. The translucent outsole is also full of countless notes, further honoring the birthplace of the music genre. Humidity is scheduled to release the shoe on September 15, 2018.
