In the spring of this year, the Swedish clothing brand H&M will use khaki trousers, fluid dresses and an array of delicate prints to unleash your inner explorer. Here's the lowdown on the hotly anticipated Studio collection.

For example: sturdy linen suiting, body sculpting leggings, draped sarong skirts and '80s-inspired swimwear. For spring and summer 2019 it's in to be outside, and according to H&M's design team, you should look ready to hike up a mountain, take a yoga class or sip cocktails on a lush rooftop, all at the same time.

“The starting point for the S/S19 collection was a photograph of mineral ponds in the desert in Utah. The rainbow colours in this red canyon landscape, which looks like it could be Mars, were so inspiring. The minerals are natural, even though they look man-made and synthetic. It got us thinking about escapism and wanderlust. We’ve built the collection around the idea of a glamorous explorer and her luxurious lifestyle”, designer Angelica Grimborg revealed.

“H&M Studio is our most fashion-forward offering. That said, we always want fashion to be wearable. Therefore, H&M Studio is our take on the biggest fashion trends of the season, made wearable for our customers.” design director Pernilla Wohlfahrt revealed.

Black zebra dress, high-waisted khaki pants, vibrant orange-red, slightly luxurious-style gold-body jacket, vest and loose knit sweater and other, H&M Studio unveils a collection where utility styles meet decadent luxe, will be in this spring and summer to fill your wardrobe.

H&M Studio S/S 2019 is available in selected stores and hm.com from 21 March.
